Let's hear it for ......:)

LIVER

I like Liver and onions with nice brown gravy and a side of rice/noodles and some canned spinich that is spritzed with balsamic vinigar.

Chicken liver is good but it takes a lot of them to make a meal.

Not curried with gravy. You stew them for a long time in a crockpot then when you get home you can add some pre packaged curry mix, either spicey, medium, or mild. About a pound of gizzards is a good start. Mix the curry and let cook until well mixed and heated completlely, about another half hour. Serve it over a bed of rice or noodles, shoot even bread is good with this stuff.

One word of warning, before cooking the gizzards look each one over closely because the processors sometimes miss the little bits of hard stuff in the center that holds the sand that grinds the food up. Hope that helps.

Let's here it for liver!

I love beer, but don't want to die of alcohol poisoning.

Thanks for metabolizing my favorite drink, liver!

Steven

Which is why I asked if they were crunchy.

Thanks for the tip. I'll pass it along.

Okay fine. If you want me to leave, I'll leave.

IF you were paying any kind of attention, Cbad got me out of it and I said I'd give up pistachio ice cream instead.

But I'll go.

See ya.

Whoa whoa whoa, hey hold it, that's not what I meant! I was just wondering what was up! Sorry. We know you like your pistachio ice cream, so that certainly sounds like a worthy thing to give up. Don't leave.

I'll do a pate any day, but liver & onions <shudder> we ate it at least once a week when I was growing up - twice a week if Dad came home schnockered and late - he didn't like the smell and so it made him sick. Mom learned early on I think ...

I made it once, turns out Mom used calves liver, I guess I sauted Bessie's - and the texture and smell was atrocious; did not impress future husband with my cooking making that!

BUT CANNED spinach - BLARG!!
