I want to thank you for coming and I have been let out of my own cage so that I can be your guide on this tour... please remember to keep your hands back from the cages and do not feed the Forumites no matter how much they beg and plead...
If you would look to your right you can see the cage where we keep the Roadies and please do not feel offended if they do not respond to you... they are solitary creatures by nature but do become a little more social over the winter months. I am sure you cannot help but notice their brightly coloured plumage and the fact they are mostly hairless... they use these colours to impress and intimidate their rivals and their hairlessness make them more aerodynamic. They are among the fastest of the Forumites although there is a sub species that is even faster that we will see later on in the tour.
We have to keep the males and females separate as the males begin to act out when a female, and especially if a young one is present.
If you would look at the back of the enclosure on the hill you can see the grey headed one we call pcad... he is very protective of his hill. He is actually one of the most social of the Roadies and for a time we were thinking of putting him in the Fred enclosure.
