Come and Tour the Bike Forums Zoo

I want to thank you for coming and I have been let out of my own cage so that I can be your guide on this tour... please remember to keep your hands back from the cages and do not feed the Forumites no matter how much they beg and plead...

If you would look to your right you can see the cage where we keep the Roadies and please do not feel offended if they do not respond to you... they are solitary creatures by nature but do become a little more social over the winter months. I am sure you cannot help but notice their brightly coloured plumage and the fact they are mostly hairless... they use these colours to impress and intimidate their rivals and their hairlessness make them more aerodynamic. They are among the fastest of the Forumites although there is a sub species that is even faster that we will see later on in the tour.

We have to keep the males and females separate as the males begin to act out when a female, and especially if a young one is present.

If you would look at the back of the enclosure on the hill you can see the grey headed one we call pcad... he is very protective of his hill. He is actually one of the most social of the Roadies and for a time we were thinking of putting him in the Fred enclosure.

Our collection of Forumites is very impressive as we have collected them from all around the globe and find that, for the most part, that they are quite adaptable and sometimes have to be moved into other groups as they evolve.

Now if you would look to my left you will see the special enclosure we just built for the female Forumites... all you will get to see are the opaque walls as they are often very secretive and beautiful creatures and do not like to be ogled. I can tell you that behind those walls are some very comfortable accommodations, plenty of pillows and pyjamas, and generous portions of dark chocolate. The females like to amuse themselves by having pillow fights and seem to be most comfortable in rather skimpy attire.

But enough of that... lets move on to the next enclosure and please feel free to ask any questions you may have about any of our critters.

We do have some single enclosures for some of our Forumites due to their antisocial or sometimes overly social natures and if you look ahead you will that we have a large cluster of these single cages set just far enough apart so that the respective occupants cannot reach out and injure each other. These are among the noisiest of the Forumites and their calls can be heard across the park and because they will throw "things" we have set them far back from the walkways.

You probably wonder why we put them together and I can say that these Peandar Forumites do not seem to thrive when they are alone and yet, prefer to fight and fling things when they are together with their own kind.

They do tend to be much quieter when they mix with other sub species.

The Aussies seem to like that disgusting stuff called Vegemite but other than that weird dietary quirk they are among the most social of the critters here... their calls are also quite charming.

+100. Marmite on the other hand is a fine delicacy enjoyed by the most discerning of critters.

This adorable little critter is called gnome and unlike most of the other specimens we let him range freely around the grounds as he is completely harmless and gets along with everyone... the Zealander's call is quite like the Aussies but if you listen closely you will note the subtle differences.

He is nocturnal by nature which explains his light and fair complexion and he usually comes out when most of the other critters have gone to sleep although the Hipsters also like to keep very late hours... it is almost impossible to see them up and about until noon.

We'll let you folks take a few pictured before we move on.

No, you have been placed in the same enclosure as Pcad. But at the base of the hill.

I am the Foo Monkey, and I fling my poop at you. If you are lucky enough to be hit, do not wipe it off, or you will die.

So remember, if the Foo ****s, wear it.

*Hey, what is MV doing in my cage!*
