In fact, Japanese robot researcher Masahiro Mori noticed this in 1970 and he called it the "uncanny valley":

one step closer to never having to deal with or see another real human being again,
Food for thought: if you aren't dead by 2050, you and your entire family will be within a few years from starvation. Now that is a cruel gift to leave for your offspring. ;)

Why can't I believe this stuff is actually happening and real?

And wtf is up with this:

This stuff has been around since about 2-3 years ago and I'm starting to find out about it now. Robots are a big step especially ones like these you would think it would have more media.

You want to see creepy? Ill show you creepy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1czBcnX1Ww I say this only because Im a firm believer in the "Thats only what theyre showing us, can you imagine what theyre not showning us?" theory.
You see, their morals, their code...it's a bad joke, dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these...These "civilized" people...they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve

I see it like this...if they become teachers they have to lay down the law, and doing so involves anger and being a robot means they have the possiblity of malfunction and bugs so, we all are gonna die. Not really, but I see robots for no positive gain.

The unemployment rate would rise for teachers and therapists, at the very least.
