Also, I'm fairly certain that neither of those is actually rum, just rum flavored alcohol.

The last bottle of Appleton I bought I was disappointed with, but the previous bottles were good. Had a bottle of Captain 100 proof I went through fairly quickly.

I'm told that this may be the best rum ever made, but I dont drink so I can't comfirm it. The one in the box (Bacardi Reserva Limitada) we bought 2 years ago, and the one in the velvet bag (Ron Bacardi Reserve) we bought 14 years ago. They were both purchased at the Bacardi Distillery in San Juan Puerto Rico. (My dad supervised the making of the vats in this Distillery )
