Also, I'm fairly certain that neither of those is actually rum, just rum flavored alcohol.

The last bottle of Appleton I bought I was disappointed with, but the previous bottles were good. Had a bottle of Captain 100 proof I went through fairly quickly.

I'm not a big fan of rum, particularly dark rums. It could have something to do with a certain night when I was still at university.

My response would have been something along the lines of: "Does your bike have computer controlled suspension? Then shut your piehole, this baby is from the future!"

I'm told that this may be the best rum ever made, but I dont drink so I can't comfirm it. The one in the box (Bacardi Reserva Limitada) we bought 2 years ago, and the one in the velvet bag (Ron Bacardi Reserve) we bought 14 years ago. They were both purchased at the Bacardi Distillery in San Juan Puerto Rico. (My dad supervised the making of the vats in this Distillery )

You see, their morals, their code...it's a bad joke, dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these...These "civilized" people...they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve

I also usually go with Appleton Estates. Rum is definitely a favorite.
