The "Dante would love this" thread

For those not familiar with the work, in Dante's "Inferno" he imagined that each ring of hell would have punishments suited to the sins people committed while alive.

Two recent items made me think of this. First, this post from the "Antiicipation" thread:

Annnnnnnnnnnticipation.......

"When I was 19, I was a housekeeper for a hotel lodge at a ski resort in Idaho. We would always turn the TV on to the channel that played music while we cleaned rooms. Well, guess which song comes on the TV the day that I'm anxiously awaiting the results of a pregnancy test? Carly Simon's Anticipation....sheesh. Longest.day.ever."

Second, a story my best friend told me. She's recently divorced, and (fortunately) was able to have the divorce court proceedings done over the phone. However, she had to wait on hold for about 30 minutes for her case to be heard. What did they play while she was on hold?

Yep. One insipid love song after another.

Please share true stories of "punishments" you've had to endure for past "wrongs".

Love "The Inferno"......best example of the old saying, "Let the punishment fit the crime".
