How could they expect someone to live on such a mediocre amount. It's just sickening!

Maybe she should apply for food stamps? 53k per week is definitely below the poverty line.

Heaven forbid she should actually have to go back to *gasp* work for her money. Crissakes! She was making $27M at her previous gig. His lawyers should give her the option of $43M or get your whining, entitled arse back to work for a couple years and bankroll your own retirement.

I'd hit her ...

No one ever considers that a yatch (and the sailors), the stables (and the stable boys), the limo (and the driver), the private jet (and the pilots, mechanics, groundcrew), the garden (and the groundskeeper) and so on and so forth cost a bit of change to upkeep.

Don't make me yell at my butler to get me my phone, dial your number, and make him tell you what I really think of you all.

I count 15 middle class jobs created just right there.

I think you mis-read the article. It was her husband who was making $27mil a year and he still collects $1mil/yr after stepping down from CEO.

I can't believe she spends $4500 a week on clothes! That's $230000 a year!!!

Oops. My bad.
Still doesn't change my stance on the offer I think she deserves, though. The proposition that $43M isn't enough to live on is ridiculous.

she's not bad looking, but certainly doesn't look like $5,000+/week goes toward maintaining her looks...
