What was your weirdest dream

Ackkk! After last night's tossing and turning episode, I hope the next one isn't quite so vivid. Somehow I ended up being the host for a rather large motorcycle gang. My front lawn was littered with hundreds of large biker types who arrived on motorcycles with rather loud mufflers. I was outdoors welcoming them and standing at the BBQ grill, cooking an endless supply of fried chicken. Throughout all this, my family remained inside, obliviously glued to the television. I remember stressing out, thinking how am I going to make enough potato salad for all of these people? I have no idea why they picked my lawn to camp out on.

I was sleeping over my then gf's for the first time. I'm between her and the wall and I dream that there's a sheet of 1/4" Plexiglas over her with a HUGE (like a foot long) hairy spider on top. I bolt up, jump over her and start running around the room looking for the light switch yelling, "I GOT TO GET THE SPIDER OFF THE PLEXIGLASS - I GOT TO GET THE SPIDER OFF THE PLEXIGLASS!!!". She wakes up and starts yelling what the eff was going on. At some point I slowed down, woke up, realized it was a dream, said good night, turned off the light switch and then went to sleep on the floor. Epic fail but makes for a great story.

So I'm walking down the steps into my basement and I find that instead of a nice, finished basement, it's turned into a church. Not just any church, but a ridiculously rich church. The seating is bleachers going down the sides, leaving about a 20 foot wide isle down the middle. The walls and pillars and everything is decorated HEAVILY with gold and jewels and the lighting is bright from torches. Well, this church is packed and communion was being distributed, so I get in line and make my way up the front of the church.

I receive communion and then, suddenly, everyone disappears. Except for a few other teenagers my age and the priest. All of us teenagers gather around the priest who then tells that we are to be executed in one week.

So I run and end up at my grandparent's apartment, but then quickly leave because someone was chasing me. I can't remember how I got to the next part, but somehow I ended up at a soccer field and I was paragliding, though tethered to a rope. I was probably 40-50 ft up and I was having a good time. And then I landed and wound up in my back yard, where I continued to paraglide.

I landed again and found myself walking back down the steps to basement (which was still this beautifully decorated church.) with this immense feeling of doom and I remember thinking "I am going to meet my creater soon. I wonder if there even is an afterlife." And things like that. I got to the bottom of the steps and looked into the main church chamber and there I saw the same group of teenagers and the priest gathered around a fire. As I walked towards them, I saw one teenager take a sword and plunge it into his skull. I got to the circle and there I was handed a sword and told "You can either kill yourself quickly and painless, or we will do it slowly and you will suffer." I took the sword, looked into the fire, and then plunged it into my head.

I fell to the ground, and I could feel myself leaving my body. I was being pulled up by some invisible force and I looked down and I saw my body laying on the floor, curled up on my left side, with the sword buried all the way up to the hilt in my scull. There was no blood, just the sword sticking through my head. I was rising slowly, so I saw another teenager handed a sword and told the same thing I was told. I saw him do exactly what I had did.

I woke up with sweat pouring off of me and an immense sense of sadness and impending doom that I have never felt before.

It's really weird how dreams seem to magically morph from one scene to another and that they often are totally unrelated. I remember telling my husband one morning about going on a canoe trip and then for no reason I was in the kitchen, cooking dinner for my family and for a dinner guest we had Fonzi from Happy Days.

I've had some weird ones alright. Some very very freaky ones stemming from religion-trauma suffered in early childhood (don't wanna get into it too much, but take one crucifix, add a pogo stick, stir in some worms and maggots and you're getting the idea)....also many wonderful rawr dreams (and one that included someone it shouldn't have)....

But aside from the usual fare (running down the endless hallway, the school anxiety, public appearances in the nude or tighty whities, etc.) i have had many many dreams about my old back yard (pics seen recently in foo). It's always bigger and lovlier, like how I wished it actually looked if we'd been the landed gentry.

It always has more rolling topography and beautifully defined natural boundaries...usually looks sort of like this place, where we hope to move soon:

When I was a young child, anyday that I said the f-word, I would have a terrfying dream that night that I was being kidnapped. I believed that was my punishment for saying the f-word.

My relative had a problem with her transmission. Her boyfriend, who is a very light skinned guy, was doing most of the work while I helped. It was very hot outside, in the low 90's. He was sweating and beginning to get a bit of a sunburn. He looked at us, and said "why aren't YOU sweating and getting red?" I said to him, "Because we aren't as light skinned." Later that day he told her that if I EVER said anything like that again, he would seriously kill me. Then he told her that he would not take any crap from a [racial no no word] He is a Vietnam Vet who has seen a lot and still harbors anger.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now the nighmare:
It took place in the jungle, with me being the hunted. Typical running, tripping, falling through the thick greenery while trying to escape. The horror filled my heart and was very real for he had his firearm and would raise it every once in a while to take aim at me. As he fired, I would put my martial arts training into effect, doing rolling falls or jumping falls/rolls through the underbrush. I was barely surviving his chase.
I was not defenseless. I had my hunting bow which stayed against my body with every move as I held onto it for dear life. As we worked our way towards the end of the jungle, I began to run into civilazation, being more of a city type setting. He raised his gun once again and fired. He was out of ammo.
Still running and realizing that his gun was now empty, and since now in a different yet familiar area, I felt empowered to turn the tables around. I was angry and tired enough to not take it anymore.
At that point HE became the hunted. Strength was suddenly thrust upon me to be able to go after HIM, with the attempt to use my bow to capture my game. He was trying to hide from me, running and dodging behind buildings and cars. Block after block. Through alleys. Alas I found him behind a Transmission shop. He was tired and out of breath trying to hide behind some large car parts left by the dumpster. I stared at him. He didn't try to run. I lifted my bow, held it strong and aimed. I released.
Well since I'm driving, I thought I'd take a pistol instead. Ya know, easier to keep in a thigh holster while driving across the hot desert in a skirt.
A week later the loft building burned to the ground.
Funny you ask because I just had a dream last night that was quite a weird one. It's a shame I can't remember the details too well.
I was a teenager again and starting at this new school. I was also a 3rd party observer in the dream. Another new kid showed up who was musclebound in an over done unrealistic way (kind of like an anime character). This new kid, I knew as the 3rd party observer, was also God.
On that first day of school, they did some sort of tests on everybody for various things, intelligence wise and athletic wise, and the first thing they were doing was sort of a wrestling match showdown to determine the top wrestler/athletic person at school (co-ed wrestling).
God was there, I knew as the third party observer, for some sort of lesson to people. Whatever this lesson involved required him to come to the school as a muscle bound guy and beat the crap out of every kid in the school, boys and girls (co-ed wrestling). When I say "beat the crap", I mean he was literally ripping peoples arms and heads off and stuff like that.
That's about all I remember.
A few years ago I had a dream about my father. We were walking in a park close to where I grew up in Saskatoon. Everything was pleasant until a large bear came up to us. He went straight up to my father, stood up on his back hind legs and hit my father on top of his head with one of his front paws. My father fell down lifeless. I woke up at that point. I analyzed that dream for months. I think it was the first time that it really hit me that someday my father would die.
I've had this one, or a variant, quite a few times. I'm swimming along the ocean shoreline. Any west coast beach with lots of people will do. Now, ordinarily when I swim in the ocean, I tend to venture out where my feet don't touch so I can float and swim around like a dolphin. In the dream I'm doing the same when my feet suddenly land on a flat smooth surface. It's high enough so that I can stand on it up to my waist. Curious, I duck under water to have a look see. It's a ledge, and just under the ledge is an opening. I swim down through and find myself in a large room, an underground chamber with defined vertical walls, which runs for quite a distance. It's lit from the sun shining through the many openings, and I can also breath, even though I'm underwater. The chamber is empty, when suddenly the water begins to recede, and along with it the structure disappears as well. Next I'm standing on what was previously the ocean floor, with evidence of all kinds of buildings, roads and even a large bridge like Golden Gate off in the distance. Not much happens after that point. Very Atlantian.
