Guess who's coming to dinner (in the NW)?

yeah, me. Me, that's who.

who put this thing together?

yeah, me. Me, that's who.

sorry, 1990 flashback.

redirected from an old thread
ok, so wifey 'n' me are planning to be in SF on the 2nd of Aug., Sunday night - my friend's birthday - and we want to be in Portland and SF the week before/after...hoping to hook up with some local west coast foos - and maybe we'll be joined by some moar foofs from out east.

for those interested in hooking up, are there any dates that would work/wouldn't work in either of those cities for either the last week of July or the first week of August?

We'd love to. If we had more time and money (Ha! not this year) we'd do Seattle and Vancouver. I'd love to say hi, and see your greyhounds too.

Well then....maybe some of us can road trip down one night. I won't bring the dogs that way though. If you want to see the boys, you'll have to make the 2 hour drive up for the afternoon.

Kent isn't quite as far as Seattle.

Ignorant east coaster here,

The first thing my friend told me when I landed in SF was "don't call it Frisco"
I may just do that the entire trip this time, just for him.

Seriously....what's holding you back? Why would it cost so much just to do a day trip up here one day while in Portland? It would cost nothing more than gas which you would already be spending driving around that day elsewhere (assuming your renting a car).

Here's to hoping I'll get to meet up with Mr. Goat and his wife in Portland. (And possibly that disgustingly happy UA)

You can call it Frisco when you're in Frisco, TX.

well, we're already doing flight out west, rental car between cities, flight back. We don't plan to hold on to the car while we're there (don't need it - car free). Otherwise, with more car, time and $, we'd def. do it, KT.
