Manly yes, but do ladies really like Irish Spring?

I switched last week to the new Irish Spring body wash. (original scent)

Advertised as 8 hour scent system. Not sure about the eight hours but does last a long time based on the comments at work,.....

Haven't used Irish Spring since my Polo cologne days and was wondering if it is still acceptable to the ladies?

Artie, Interestingly enough, this was my choice before the switch - Not as many compliments.

Same here, but scent doesn't seem to last as long.

might be a pheromone thing. different fragrances will mix with your natural man-scent differently. Two different people wearing the same scent may not wear it as well.

I am a Dateless Loser. I haven't been close enough to a guy to determine what he showers with in ages. My only option is to sniff the bottles in the store and report back to you.

If you use reasonable amounts of the stuff and rinse it off, they won't notice or care. Otherwise, it doesn't matter what you use.

BTW, nothing lasts 8 hrs unless you do nothing but sit in a cool room. I don't care what it says....

EDIT: This thread makes me wonder what makes a smell "manly" and why the heck so many women's products smell like fruit or other edible items. Who wants to smell like they just were in a food fight?

Dude. If people at work are commenting on the way you smell, even if the comments are positive, you need to switch products to something less smelly.

no smells in the workplace. Both male and female, after work should be collapsing into a hot, sweaty pile of flesh.

Sorry, if it says "bodywash" on it, it's not manly. Do you use a loofah, too?
