The most beautiful places cost no money

Have you ever been on a water themed park with a baby? From all the rides and all the attractions there is ONE they like the most: The small and shallow artificial river.

Around here (FL), people spent hundreds of dollars on tickets to these parks. But their toddlers are only interested in one thing, the artificial river. They don't care about the attractions or the shows. They just want to get to the river.

There's a spot around here, a beautiful river that only bikers know about. And that's because there is no access by car. To get there you have to leave the road, take a paved trail for a mile and then detour on an unpaved hiking trail for like a hundred meters. The place is gorgeous and it cost NOTHING!

If weather allows, I'll take my own toddler there today and take some pics showing her smile of approval.

Very good idea!

My wife also only likes the lazy river, which is why we never go to waterparks, either. I used to like waterparks to watch tops fly off when I was 15 but after you see it twice, it gets really boring and becomes a huge waste of time, so I would just spend my time in the lazy river.

So, that is an expensive trip just to see water when there is a free, and certainly more beautiful, lazy river not too far from the road.

It's just I re-wrote your post with a little embellishment!

Pretty place. Couldn't get the thought, "Hope there's no giardia, up in there." outta my head, though.

I was more concerned with crocodiles but I scouted the place a few times and never seen any.

That's cool, Ruben. She's a cute kid and that looks like an awesome day brought to her by her dad.

Only problem is that stream isn't heavily purified and chlorinated.
