The Idiots of NY Baseball

I'd say they're all friggin idiots.

It's a BASEBALL GAME you morons. Not an audience with the Pope. I tried to buy tickets to a Mets game @ Citifield. Too pricey. They are on serious crack. $300-400 for 4 tix to a Mets game? Plus another $80 when I'm there for parking, beer, and ice cream? Let me know how what works out for you. Oh wait, we already know, the fans are generally only buying the cheaper seats. Oh, what a shock.

I'll watch on TV. Or maybe I'll just say F this, and stop being a fan. Aholes.

They should have subsidized high end road bike purchases instead.

I saw those ticket prices and whoa, it's out of touch with reality. I remember as a kid going to Shea and paying $2.50 for the upper deck, $15 for field box. I can't justify paying more for a Met game than an evening at the theatre. If they have problems filling the seats when the stadiums are new, how's it going to be when the novelty wears off or when both teams fold in Sept.?

you name it. numbers attached to incorrect riders. missing riders. wrong placements. they had to pull the results down from bikereg and are hopefully fixing it.

Fortunately my kids aren't old enough to know the difference between Minor league baseball and Major league baseball.

You won't catch me shelling out to see a baseball game.

OK, maybe someday I might spend a few dollars to see the local minor league team. Or not.

An auction for the seats concluded on eBay Tuesday night, with the winning bid coming in at $38,100, considerably below their face value.
$38,100 for a 150 tickets, or $254 per ticket? that seems barely worth it.

Whatever the reason, the teams are scrambling to comb over their $295- to $2,625-a-seat bald spots.
all I can say is that 2.6k seat had better come with free food and a hooker.

Ummm...a quick search shows $11 per ticket.

Granted, those are crappy seats, you didn't say wanted a great view.

If you want a fun and cheap evening, go to a minor league game. Caliber of play is darn close to major league, but the atmosphere is more relaxed, less pretentious, and much cheaper.
