i wouldn't recommend this for use all the time, but try afrin? i hear you can get addicted, i also hear it can harm the insides of your nosey. my boyfriend has very bad allergies, i was blessed with none. when he's yelling at his nose, and he wants to go ride, and for instant relief that lasts a while, he'll do afrin. but not all the time, mostly because prolonged use causes damage to your nasal tissue.

check it out: http://www.drugs.com/mtm/afrin.html

You might give MSM(methylsulfonylmethane) a try. My wife has bad allergies and MSM helps her a lot. She used to have to use prescription steroid nose spray often, but when she's on MSM she's able to cut way back on the nose spray. It's cheaper to buy bulk powder MSM and mix with water or whatever instead of buying capsules. Vitamin Cottage sells packages of it.

Thank goodness I do not suffer from them. I did however suffer for a long time when I lived out in the country around all sorts of fields - especially since for several years the farmers planted sunflower plants - beautiful fields of yellow (like some of the old TdF posters) but they were hell for the sinuses - miserable, miserable headaches. Upon waking there was no way I could breathe till at least 10 o'clock thru my nose - and that was only after blowing out my ears trying to clear a pathway. Mornings were just miserable. I feel for ya all. And no way am I going to be living by fields ever again.

DayQuil about an hour before the ride.

of course, for other times, I just pop some Benadryl and go take a nap as it knocks me out.

Edit - I keep some with me all the time. I seem to have them worse when I don't have any with me.
