You go to the drive in to actually watch movies ?

The coolest event of the month here will be our annual ride in movie.

37 years old and I've never been to a drive-in theater. I'm not sure why.

There was one in Ohio that we avoided because the owner walked around with a flashlight to make sure 1) you didn't bring your own drinks in and 2) you weren't gettin' it on. It went out of business, of course.

I remember going to one as a kid in our small town. They had a play area and we would amuse ourselves until the sun went down. Then pass out in our car watching the movie with our parents.
The only drive-in in denver is located a few miles from our house. Strange.
Perhaps my kid and his cousins would like it.

We have been talking about having at least one ride in movie a month over the summer... it requires a great deal of work and since we are militant about being car free all the gear and equipment gets hauled in and out of the valley by bicycles and trailers.

We use the back board of the cricket pitch as our screen so at least do not have to worry about that.

Thats way more intense (and even cooler!) than what I was thinking. I was going to bike to the drive-in with a 6-pack and blanket in my backpack.

The only one I had been to was Hi-65 on Hwy-65 in Blaine, which probably feels like heading out of town for the weekend from where you were. It closed many years ago, of course.

Any of you drive in fans familiar with Joe Bob Briggs? I used to read his columns when he got his start writing for the paper in Dallas, and saw him at one of the local "hard tops" when he put on one of his shows there.

There's one here in Columbus, and it will be one of our few expenditures before the move to boston will be catching a movie there. Have no idea when we'll get to one again.

Wasn't much to look at, but you could push the bench seat all the way back and play twister in that thing
