Grilled Cheese

Yum...

Shredded extra-sharp cheddar and Irish Dubliner... brown sandwich well on both sides, then for each side, sprinkle on some more cheese and fry it on the _outside_ of the bread.

Fried cheese stuck on the outside of a grilled cheese sandwich...

Yum!

Well I know what I'm having for supper.
Gonna throw some thinly sliced grilled chicken in there, and eat it like there is no tomorrow.

toasted cheese sandwich, made in a sandwich toaster, mozeralla filling, instead of using butter or oil to coat the bread prior to placing in the toaster, use garlic butter

I live in the NW burbs, but work in the loop. In that list, I've been to Grafton (few years ago) and Opart Thai (recently), both were good.

I think I need to change my shorts. I just had an orgasm.

edit: can we say, "orgasm?" Heck, I just said it twice. Ooops, if not x 2.

I HATE when people mess with the classics like Grilled Cheese, Clubs, or BLTs.

Grilled cheese:

Soft, white "Wonder" bread (or local equivalent)
American Cheese (Land-o-lakes, preferably), preferably not "singles"
Pan-fried in 100% salted Butter

wait -- you put buttered bread in the toaster? that sounds delicious but dangerous!

add a little tomato aioli and you're golden
