Where do you see humans about 200 years from now?

I'll go first.....near extinction.

200 years huh? I figure something like today politically (lots of strife), though I have no idea what the nations will be. Technology developments will continue apace. I also expect that there will be at least one major pandemic between now and then.

200 years from now, our school-age ancestors will be studying about us in school and wondering how we survived through the barbaric conditions in which we lived.. (i.e. doctors using scalpels to operate, people dying from simple diseases such as cancer, and the masses submitting to the belief that socialism would solve all our problems)

Did anybody see Earth 2100 the other night?

It was a dire prediction of the earth in 100 years if all environmental decisions are made incorrectly. It was basically a worst case scenario showing that if we (globally) don't start being environmentally responsible NOW we could theoretically be on the verge of extinction in 100 years or less.

The format of how they presented it was great. They did it sort of like a graphic novel movie with live scenes of actual news clips and such mixed in to give it a sense of realism. The main character, Lucy, was a fictitious baby born that day (June 2 2009) and the 2 hour show basically let her narrate her life as to how events unfolded throughout the 21st century.

200 years......we'll probably have discovered totally new and innovative ways to suck. By then, we'll have music that makes boy bands look "f-ing Metal!", have even more annoying repetitive electronic music (probably the sound of a 33.6 modem doing a handshake, at 15,000 handshakes per second), and food will probably be in the form of Gu Packs only.

What would end it all is someone realizing there used to be a thing called "animals" until we ate them all....then he goes nuts, eats his neighbor, and realizes how much tastier it is than Gu pakcs ever were, he then immediately gives this "mystery meat" to his friends, which spawns a cannibal extravaganza....people eating people, after a bit of this....people will just cease to exist since things like power plants no longer operate...and the machinery needed to keep the bugs out will fail.

The last human will spend their last breath doing a barrel roll.
