ugliest couches on craigslist (for way too much money)

I'm selling a few items, and wanted to check out the competition. holy cow!
I think the general runle of thumb is if it has "contemporary", "beautiful" or "awesome!" in the title, it is none of those.

Post your local ugly couches!!

-apparently if you call it "vintage" ugly crap is worth a lot of money. They'd be lucky to find someone to haul it and not charge!
Quote:
entire living room group! beautiful couch, chair, 3 coffee/end tables - $300

a beautiful vintage living room group in perfect condition. solid wood all matching!
top of the line quality. not american furniture junk! Includes couch, chair, 2 end tables and a large coffee table. all a matching set
-- apparently if its "very old" and you paid $650 10 years ago, its still worth over half that!
Quote:
Vintage Wicker Sofa Couch & Chair - $375 (Congress Park Capitol Hill)
Very old and in good condition. We paid $650 about 10 years ago.
Great for sun-room or enclosed/covered patio/porch
Couch is 71" wide, 27" deep & 36" high at their widest points.
Presently in a clean, non-smoking home

CONTEMPORARY!! Wow.
Quote:
Contemporary Sofa/Ottoman and 2 side chairs - $325
Light, contemporary sofa. Predominant background color cream with mauve and slate blue accents. Like new, very comfortable seat and back cushions. Fabric is in excellent condition, no tears or blemishes. It has also been treated with a scotchguard coating. The manufacturer of this couch is Sherrill. Measures 80 x 33 x 33. $150.00 Side chairs $75.00 ea Ottoman $25.00

I don't care when they paid $650 for those wicker things. They're the chumpiest chumps in Chumpton to pay anywhere near that.

I am moving in a few weeks and need a new couch. A quick trip through the local furniture places taught me that I just was not going to find anything that would make me happy.

So, I made my own. Its all done except that I have to wait for the rain to let up to stain it.

nice looking furniture jim! shouldn't be in the ugly thread

how about this gem, for $1000!!!
yes, one thousand. pretty sure this set has to be at least 10, likely 15 years old.

This formal living room couch, loveseat, and chair are in beautiful condition and the colors will go in just about any room. It is mostly off-white and grey (The picture looks pink but it's really not) Included are a white washed coffee table and 2 end tables. Note that the matching chair is only shown in the end table photo - arm only.
hey, at least they didn't call it contemporary.

I could never lay on a used couch, God only knows what's been happening on it, especially the farting.

I'm in West Virginia...home of "I can't believe somebody actually lives in there". A quick search produced some nice ones for you (all from Craigslist):

Check this awesomeness !!

http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/fuo/1206071658.html

Miami Craigslist = hours of entertainment on a rainy day

We bought a couch off of Craigslist. It came from a sample Condo
in WPB, so it wasnt really used, just for show. But, we need to hire
a mover to take it out the window cuz it wont go down the stairs

All, I've reported this thread to the admins and I expect swift action concerning this matter. I find this thread offensive and terrifying at best. These poor couches need a good home and you are mocking their horrible situations. Shame on you all!

Anyway, I just took my meds and should be feeling better very soon folks.

I love you all,

Couch

I just get couches from the Goodwill for $60-80 and use them until the inner frames snap.

My current one is some southwestern style multi-colored thing. It's actually pretty ugly, and I think the multi-colored bit (kinds looks rainbow-ish) is making some folks think I'm in the closet.

.....the only thing in the closet are some bodies....

Hillary, you know I'm a handsome devil. You know that I'm the opiate for the masses. Folks, I have to tell you the truth here, I'm God's gift to women. I know that statement is blunt but I feel honesty is the best policy. Just Say'in!

Yeah, I went there.

I went to his concert in Columbus. The guy I went with got the T-Shirt with this on it:

(Most likely, that is NSFW.) I wonder where the heck he is going to wear his fancy shirt?
