    New batteries for the Hybrid

I wonder how far your Hybrid would go on these...

This particular configuration is 24V at 1000 Ampere-hours....

In reality, these batteries (Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid) would be horrible for a hybrid, but they're still damn huge. These are for a plant safety system...

The palette of batteries here weights approximately 1 ton.

Lesse, that's 24Kw right? Isn't the battery pack for the volt supposed to be rated at 150Kw? I know LIon technology is lighter and more powerful, but that's quite a number compared to the 2000 pound beast above....

    It's 1000 Amp-hours, so 100 amps for 10 hours, or whatever, at 24V.

You can get 2400 watts for 10 hours (about 3HP), or you can go the 1-minute route and get 32.7kW for 1 minute (about 44HP). (capacity diminishes with increased discharge rate)

Looks like a UPS backup for a big server to me.

Those are definitely a UPS backup for a data center. I don't know if it would be good for a hybrid because there is a difference between deep-cycle batteries and the type that give max cold cranking amps when needed.
