Big Dog

We've had a dog living across the street from us for a number of years now. She is in a fenced yard, left outside year round in a cold climate and neglected other than the attention we have been able to provide. Recently they had her tied up on a short leash because she was able to sneak under the fence. A couple of days ago I stuck my nose into things and started giving them hell for the way they treated her.

Long story short, they told me they had to find a home for her which I was fortunately able to find. That dog must think she died and went to heaven. She is INSIDE tonight in a loving home. How's that for a feel good story?

Made my day, hell made my summer!

Nice job DD. I told my dog Sam this story and he approves. Of course, when we got him, he was going to be an 'outside dog'. This is how that worked out:

Dogs ability to love unconditionally is awesome. Seeing my boys snuggle up with their dog to watch a movie or go to sleep warms the cold frozen cockles on the shriveled remains of what was once my heart.
