    Just bought a new GPS

REI is blowing out the Magellan Triton 2000 for $ 300, compared to the regular price of $ 500. I had a $ 215 dividend burning a hole in my pocket, so I just picked up the Triton.

The primary reason to buy it was the capability to download NG Topo maps directly to the unit. I just came home, installed everything under Vista, and updated the software and firmware. I downloaded a large map of western Washington onto a 8 GB SD card and still have room to spare.

This looks like a sweet unit. We will see how it works.

My response would have been something along the lines of: "Does your bike have computer controlled suspension? Then shut your piehole, this baby is from the future!"

Nice, I think I may update to a newer GPS unit some day, we were in NY and our current unti got all twitterpated around the Twin Towers site! it was telling us to "turn left" or "turn right" onto streets that no longer exsisted! we were lost for around 20-30 minutes!
You see, their morals, their code...it's a bad joke, dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these...These "civilized" people...they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve
