I have it a lot. I have a very restless mind. Fortunately my work schedule, or lack there of, allows me to sleep it off.

Edit: Has your mind been restless?

No coffee after noon. If I had coffee at 4pm I would be going to sleep as the sun came up.

Everyone is different. If have a coffee any later than 1:00 pm, I can't sleep. Skip any cafffine after noon.
Or just go read the "Ask Pcad anything" thread for a few minutes. That works for me.

Having no caffeine is a lot better.

Yep. Best quality of sleep improvement I've ever done for myself. That **** stays in your system a lot longer than you think.

Still the occasional "restless mind syndrome" nights, but I never used to sleep well.

I sleep like the undead 99% of the time. Get lots of exercise, lay off the caffeine and another trick is to take a warm shower/bath before bedtime, your body temp drops quickly after you're done in the shower/bath which triggers the need to sleep.

Psh, I can drink a cup of coffee or energy drink and go to sleep right after.

Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

that can happen to me too - if it was only one cup. And that's rare since I usually drink a whole pot

having said that that, if one cup knocks me out I often wake up after only a few hours...so maybe the caffeine comes back to bite me later....

then again, what the hell do i know?

    (1) Don't try going to sleep at 8:30 pm
    (2) Ride your bike more (or in your case, ride your bike).
    (3) Whatever you do, lay off the Diprivan.

Aside from the dulcet tones of Phil Liggett I always read or listen to music, usually does the trick.

I'll second the laying off the caffeine after noon. Try to do an activity such as browsing some of the pointless BF threads, reading part of a light book to try and clear your mind before going to bed.

Try a hot or warm milk drink just before going to bed.
