Domestic rats don't carry disease . My rat has barely ever even seen the outdoors. Rats make awesome pets, it was one of your fellow brits, who was a rat catcher waaaayyy back in the day who first figured out how smart, clean, clever and friendly they are.

Did you have a pet rat that died? I've had many. Copacabana, Ipanema and a slew of others. I got Sterling from a big box pet store last year, before him I had Valentina who I got on Valentine's day, she died of Myco.

That's sad, however, while it's the same species they don't behave the same. My rat likes my dog, he likes me, he will sit on my shoulder etc.

Unsafe, waaa???
