My kitteh needs something.

She was just chillin' on my lap and she looked at me and had her tongue sticking out. Her mouth was closed. She didn't appear to be breathing hard. I took her over to her water dish and she didn't drink anything. She was just sticking her out. I've never seen her do that before. Can anyone tell me what the heck might be going on?

Sticking out a little bit, or hanging out like a dog?

If the former, my cats do that all the time. The latter would be weird, though.

Like this.

This is not my cat. I didn't grab a picture of her doing it. I wish I had.

Have you showered recently? Maybe that cat is making stinky faces.

She sleeps under the covers with me. I've given her so many dutch ovens, I don't think a day of not showering is gonna affect her much.

cats don't sweat, it's an extra heat radiation source to cool down.

if you can lick your own butt... you'd never leave the house.

Cats do that stuff all the time.

I really, really, really, really, really miss having a cat around. I grew up with them because I was never allowed a dog, but then when I was about 25 I became deathly allergic all of a sudden. They are wonderful creatures. I think a housecat is my totem animal.

I detest most cats.....mainly because I get around them and I have to use an inhaler to breathe and my eyes swell shut. Of course, this means that every cat on the planet seems to want to be my bestest friend.

The only cats that don't trigger an allergy attack is either a Siamese or a Himalayan. Them, I do like.

I'm allergic to pollen, grass, dust...smoke triggers my asthma blah blah but animals? Not a twitch. In fact, when I got back home (biked back from bf's at 5 am) Whiskers the Cat and some other cat I haven't seen before were near my place so I gave them some affection...not so much as an itch.

My mother and bf are violently allergic to cats, my bf is even allergic to my pet rat! BF isn't allergic to my dog, which is weird, and my mother can tolerate my dog.

Anyway, my dog frequently has his tongue sticking out when he sleeps, it's fun to touch it because he slurps it back into his mouth.

The mother cat to my kitten did it all the time. And one of her kittens also did that. Kinda cute.

Ok, I'm apparently a worrywart when it comes my cat. She's been with me through some tough times, though and I don't know what I'd do without her.

I read a couple years ago that dog and cat allergies are different. I think it is something like cat = cat hair and dog = dander.
Anyhow, I think one of my cats would do that when I was transporting him from one house to another in a hot car.
