    Pirate prank

I played a prank on my Mom today.

She has a garden gnome that sits by the front door of the house. Either by accident or weather, the poor guy lost a hand along the way.

With a little time in my shop, a wine cork, a copper pipe cap and some heavy copper wire, I soldered him a replacement.

I didn't say a thing, just going to wait til she notices. If she doesn't...next is an eyepatch...and maybe a parrot.

He couldn't be in a more perfect stance for that to work. Raising his hook and stroking his beard.

If it was a bunny rabbit then you wouldn't need the "strobe" aspect of it. Just a solid light.

The arm and the hole at the end look almost exactly like the arm of a Lego minifigure. But the hook hand is probably a lot more recognizable to non-dorks than a Lego hand.

Nice work. Keep this thread updated with the additions. Eye patch and paint the beard black!

Dude, only you could trump lighted shark genetalia with a bunny reference. Now maybe we need an image to go with it. We could start a new internet meme "I saw what you did there, so here is a bunny with a light on his pecker." or some such.

Go all out, but for God's sake, put a cork on that hook. You could put an eye out w/ that. A little black vest would look cool, too.
