juice detox

It has been suggested to me that drinking juice and water for a week will turn my already awsome body even better. What is this mumbo jumbo and has anyone done this?

Hell yeah !
Tomato juice and grapefruit juice.
The only thing is, it would only work on us less-than-awesomies.
You're Adonis-like stature/aura has no flaws to improve upon.

Actually, i've decided not to go to such extremes. I can't stand being hungry.

Instead i am going to have raw fruit and veg smoothies every meal for a week. This should be interesting. Right now I am drinking tomato, broccoli, carrot blended with skimmed milk and a bit of maple syrup for flavouring. I do not recommend it. It tastes like mud.

My wife Forces these on me cuz for some reason she thinks a diet of
Raman Noodles, coffee and French fries, (Chips to you guys who dont speak AMerican)
might be unhealthy. She puts something in them, I think its Wheat Germ, gives it the effect
of chewing cat litter. Horrifying. I mean, if I want 'germ', I'll go lick a door knob or something.
At least I wont choke.

Most of the juice-fasts which I've seen described are really nothing more than a 3 - 5 day gastrointestinal equivalent of Liquid Plum'r; similar to the "Hollywood 48 Hour Miracle Diet" or "Joggin' in a Jug".

The amount of pulped citrus, cider vinegar, and prune extract involved with many juice fasts require that you clear your calendar for a week and install a 5 point racing harness on your toilet. For an gentler systemic detoxification process, you're better off with a mild drinking vinegar (organic unfiltered cider is easiest to find) at about 0.5oz daily to start, and build up to 2oz daily, mixed with water. Combine this with a 2 - 3 week regimen of psyllium and bentonite. It's a more gradual and thorough process than the 3 day pressure-flush.

Pure blasphemy. I survive on coffee, beer, hot links and pancakes and am an elite athlete, how dare your wife insinuate that my diet is unhealthy

Day 2 probably will be fine. I believe its what you eat 2 days earlier that affects your movement. let me know how it goes tomorrow... or, maybe not.

I don't think giving your digestive system an occasional break is such a bad idea, I just wouldn't do it for extended periods of time. The longest I've ever juice fasted is 4 days. That was enough.

<looks sideways and squints at coasting>

K, I agree with Siu - how is this.

Ramon noodles, coffee and frites. Hmmmm

And then juice bombs.

<squints> calling shenanigans.

Or, prove it and post a pick of you licking a door knob.

I'm game!
