Headbadge question.

OK, I changed the crappy new Schwinn badge on my Maddy for a vintage oval Schwinn headbadge, but then I found this (pic below) its a really decent metal Superman symbol! (My fav character) it will fit perfectly on my Maddy and I know it will look great and make my bike more a part of me, know what I mean? anyways I value the opinion of the FOO and would like to know what you guys think, the opinions will not effect my choice, just would like to know the opinions of a few good people that are just about the coolest people I've ever met online and in real life.

If you can bend it around the headtube without ruining it, go for it.

If you put it on upside-down...it'd be cooler.

Even better: Backwards like bizarro Superman.

Depending on what kind of metal is under the (likely) plating, it might still polish up. I kind of doubt it's Superman-quality metal underneath, however.

Ask a jeweler if it's possible to bend it without damaging it....and if he/she would do it how much. They'd have the correct equipment.

Or how 'bout a black backing that is curved to match the headtube with a flat front mounting surface? Depends on your budget but this could work....CNC machined aluminum, anodized black...with mounting holes that match the original badge's

I've been wanting to do this to the Star Trek science insignia...just can't find a good pin/badge/whatever. I imagine I can make one myself without too much trouble, but I'm suffering from a bad case of the "UN"

Science Officer Nekohime, heres a link to a paper back sticker book and a few pics of mine, its a bit expensive but worth it!. (Yes, this proves once again that I am indeed, a geek, and loving it! )
EDIT: as you can see I bought mine for $2.99, but that was many light years ago.

You could drill the superman medallion and use spacers cut at angles on the end to space it off the head tube and then screw it on.

What if he mounts the badge on the head tube and then cuts the head tube off the bike, leaving a few inches of top tube and down tube attached, and stabs that into his chest?
