Scottrade question

Let me hope that there are some self brokers out here that like to ride as well.

If I opt out of the Bank Deposit Program sweep account that Scottrade has, will my funds be settled faster? I like to move in and out of the market quite a bit and have to avoid free riding.

This explanation from Scottrade - "Settled Funds at Scottrade, Inc. - The amount of settled funds that have not been swept to program banks" - makes me think that being in the BDP may increase my settlement time.

Thanks for any input. Too bad you can't opt-in after you opt out of the BDP or else I'd just experiment.
