Mini rant!

Is there anything made, anywhere, anymore, that uses SAE nuts and bolts and thread sizes?

I feel like I should just discard all of my SAE Sockets and Wrenches.

I never bought any. My first vehicle was a 1988 chevy, they had converted everything to metric by then. Our kids swing set has sae bolts but metric tools fit close enough they work fine. I think I maybe have one set of SAE sockets someone gave me once but thats it.

Yes.

The hardware specific to homebuilding, such as structural bolts, lags and earthquake HD hardware is all still SAE standard.
