    Steve Jobs speaks:

The Wall Street Journal's Yukari Iwatani Kane, who has scored an impressive string of Apple (AAPL) scoops this year, including the first detailed report on Jobs' liver transplant, ran a story Tuesday about how, since he returned to work in June, Jobs has been obsessively micromanaging the Apple tablet project to the dismay of some employees who had "grown accustomed to a level of freedom" while Jobs was on medical leave.

In the course of her reporting, she e-mailed Jobs and got a rare and typically terse response:

"Much of your information is incorrect."

Just goes to show you what ding-dongs are running Apple. Apple doesn't give you what you want. They give you what they want you to use.

I left a bag of apples and bananas on the counter in the kitchen this AM. My lunch, a mix angel hair pasta with capers, teriyaki chicken, garlic, broccolli and butter sits in the fridge at home as well.

Thank God there are no brainwashed Windows masses in the other 90% of the domestic computing market. The odd thing is they fall into line and they're not even happy about it. At least Mac users are overwhelmingly satisfied.

Is being overwhelmingly satisfied what brings about the outbursts of obnoxious pretentiousness?

I'd say Steve Jobs is a pretty successful ding-dong.

I never said that he wasn't a successful ding-dong. I was just simply stating the fact that he is a ding dong.

...and that differs from the Microsoft camp, how?

As an aside note, it appears Apple is ramping up to expand into....something? They've just broken ground in my lil ole town, Maiden,NC, (hometown of the famous "smoker grill foot") on what is to be one of the largest data ctr server farms in the country; about 500,000 sq ft worth. That's one damn big server farm.

They're calling in some kinda "cloud" thing - where, I guess, they're server farm will host a lot of your data and applications, for use with their iphones and mini tablet computers. They may also be getting into on demand movies and video.

I wish I knew enough about computers to get a job there, once it opens. Oh well, maybe I could get a job waxing their floors at night.......while waxing poetically during the day.
When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished by how much he'd learned in seven years. Mark Twain (apocryphal)

That's what I heard, something about cloud computing. Which differs from what Microsoft sells, which is cloudy computing.

I left my bagel, yogurt and apple at home this morning. I stopped at a donut shop and had three chocolate raised instead.
