I just cooked the most unhealthy thing evah!

My wife and I are having some friends over tonight to celebrate his retirement from the prison system. We decided to bake a cake and decorate it ourselves as a bit of a gag.

I made a devils food cake which is really good. Then I made my own buttercream. EGADS! That crap is bad for you! The icing is basically 4 eggs, 2 cups of sugar and 6 sticks of butter!!!

I just iced the cake, and my wife will decorate it. I only rode 30miles today! I doubt I can eat any of it (unless I don't drink any beer, and what fun is that!) but probably will anyway. Looks like a century tomorow!!

You are children in the realm of unhealthy food.

Come back and speak up when you are ready to discuss battered twinkies deep-fried in lard.

They're having deep fried butter at the TX state fair this year.
Can't wait to try that. Hope it's better than the deep fried Dr. Pepper. That was lousy.

I saw this on the NBC Evening news. The vendor wraps a chunk of frozen butter in dough and then deep-fries it. Some of the flavored butters looked interesting.

At a place in Birch Run Michigan called Tony's, they deep fry bacon. You can get a heaping mound of it on a plate for like 10 bucks. I'd think that's at least as unhealthy as your recipe.

Melt a lb of lard and a stick of real butter in a pan.
Fry chicken in it.
It is good.

Anchor Bar just put a place in here in Rochester - opened this past Thursday for lunch, about 10 minutes from me. And yes - butter is a mainstay - that's how we made our sauces at a couple of restaurants I worked at.

Look guys, yes the deep fried butter is real bad for you-- But all the rest of that stuff you just USE a lot of grease-- that icing, you EAT the grease!!- Remember what happens when you cook bacon, you get all that liquid in the pan. NOW DRINK IT!!!
