The fun thread!

I have deceived you. This is the grammatically correct thread. Please, if you will, only write posts that are grammatically correct. If you notice that a post is grammatically incorrect, please advise the user on the correct grammar so that they may make the proper adjustments.

Thank you.

I would like to open with a short story. My cat, whom I have named, "cat," is an older cat who came into my house one afternoon; although I had not seen her before, she and I soon took a liking to each other and nine years later, we are still together. This, my friends, has been my longest relationship.

My cat, whom I have named, "cat," => Too many commas. Why are you separating "whom I have named' from "cat" with a comma?

2nd half is a run on sentence....you need a comma before the and (, and nine years) to make the conjunction for the second sentence.

Max, awakened earlier than usual by a sudden loud and disturbing noise arising from outside his slightly opened second floor bedroom window, began to prepare for his long day at work by shaving his beard with his straight edged razor. He savored the effect as he slowly soaped and lathered his face with the fine bristled brush and the expensive and rare shaving cream normally available only through special connections and secret alliances with the local dealers for the manufacturer of the shaving cream. After lathering his face, Max honed his razor on the special leather strop to finely align the edge and ready the razor for use with careful strokes along the length of the strop being very careful to not roll the cutting edge of the razor across the strop at the end of each stroke . After honing, Max carefully set the razor against his skin and began to slowly and carefully carve away the morning hair stubble with long fluid motions that severed each individual hair by shearing and cleaving the hairs during the long pulling stroke of each pass with the razor. Overlapping each stroke, Max enjoyed the whispered sound of the razor as it passed across his flesh and renewed his facial appearance to that of a younger man by cleanly removing the grey hairs of his beard.

Sentence fragment. Jesus wept when He read that.

It would be really fun to repeatedly slam your dominant hand in a car door.
