I saw a kitten dropped out of a car window

Yesterday morning my girlfriend and I saw someone drop something out of their car window. They were too far up the road to see what it was, but when we got to that area there was a cute little kittey sitting in the road. she stopped the car and I got out to get the kitten. Of course it was scared and ran off into the desert. I went after it and brought her back to the car.

my girlfriend had to get to work, so we dropped the kitten of with a Park Ranger. They called animal control to come pick her up.

The whole way to work all my GF could talk about was how this was meant to be our cat now, and that we should try to get it. So after she went to work I rode my bike back to Boulder City to find out where the kitten went. Wouldn't you know, the new bike path goes right by the Boulder City animal shelter?

Well it looks like the kitten is OK, and will have a new home with us on Tuesday.

Sad start, but a happy ending!!!!

I get angry as hell every time I see somebody with a dog in bed of their pickup truck (untethered). I once saw a pick up truck on the Howard Frankland bridge (Tampa/St. Pete) with a dog in the back who didn't know better and jumped out while the truck was going 70mph.

She's a light grey tiger, with what will prolly be short-hair. The shelter thinks she's about 10 weeks old.

We haven't decided on a name yet. My girlfriend has had a few cats, all named after a strain of marijuana, so she wants something along that line.

oh god, i had to go to a ghetto side of town to take photos for a recent graphic design assignment. just as we were leaving after our second day of shooting photos, we pass by a park where we see a little boy with a puppy on a leash. all seems normal, THEN we see the boy swinging the puppy around by the leash. then we see the boy start smacking the puppy up and down on the pavement by the leash. i'll have you know, by this time i'm screaming for him to stop and running towards him, then he goes into another more hidden corner, and starts swinging the dog again, but this time hitting him against a building! i could not believe it! i took the boy out of the corner and walked towards where (i assumed) his parents were and told him not to do that to the puppy, it was wrong, it's just a baby (and a pretty baby at that) and that it he continued doing that, his puppy might be too hurt to move, etc. i also let his parents know what he was doing to the dog. they were upset, and thanked me for stopping it.

:/ i hate seeing animals being mistreated. some children are evil.

and in response to the OP, that's the best thing you could do. i'm glad you're taking in the kitty!

^ could be true, actually.

I can't fathom the kind of person that would throw an animal out of a moving cage, disgusting.

Thank you for giving the poor thing a home.

+1.

I see people at the marina catch a carp with their hands, and toss it it on the dock, and then kick it around.

I go right up to them and ask "how about I do that to you".

I know it's just a fish, but why be so mean?

You should name it after a bike. Eddy or Giant. Maybe not Giant.

Shortly after we got our first cat (back when I'd been taking Kung Fu for a few years) I scared the heck out of my ex-wife one night. I was dreaming somebody was being mean to our cat, and had just tried to punch me. I'm not sure exactly what I was doing, but he was already regretting it when she woke me up.

The kitten will have a happy rest of its life, no doubt. I can only hope that karma will eventually break the faces of the person/people who threw a kitten out the window of a moving vehicle.

One can only hope. Frankly, if that's all they got, they'd be getting off easy.
