What Is Your Most Trivial Pet Peeve?

Like, the thing that is a deal-breaker for you, but you also realize it is so goofy you probably wouldn't tell a non-internet person?

For me it's sweatpants with side pockets. I can't stand that at all. You take a very comfortable piece of athletic clothing and put two big, weird udders on the sides of them that really aren't good for holding anything. I hate it.

Sweatpants of any type disgust me to no end. That one's not trivial.

My most trivial pet peeve is likely toilet paper setup to unroll off the bottom. Makes my skin crawl.

Those odd baseball hats with the bill sewn on backwards. I don't see why they bother sewing the bills on anyway.

+1, though I don't consider it trivial.

Also, sanctimonious vegans. There's a chick (probably of the above type, a hippie) in my Sociology class that has "VEGAN" slogans etc plastered all over her backpack/clothing etc. *sigh*. I've been a non-vegan vegetarian for 20 years and I have exactly 0 vegetarian-slogan plastered clothing etc. Another thing that drives me nuts is vegans who think I'm flawed for consuming dairy/eating honey etc.

It's so prevalent that I used to have this friend who was neither veg nor vegan who CONSTANTLY told me to try vegan milk, butter etc...the ****? I told her repeatedly I AM NOT A VEGAN. Goddamnit!

That reminds me of the shirts that look like a flannel shirt over a hoodie, but they're really one garment, like Mexicans wear. Hate those.

It also bothers me when people pronounce nuclear as "nucular".

1) I hate 99% of all tattoos on hot chicks. In my eyes they just dropped their status significantly lower.

2) I freaking hate listening to anyone eating. Meaning that I can not stand a single sound.

^^This.
It still boggles my mind that people: a) notice which way the toilet paper unrolls, and b) notice enough to have an opinion on the matter.

breast pocket + anything resembling a proper cycling position = anything in the pocket falling out.

but my trivial pet peeve? leaving lights on. chewing with mouth open. smacking gum.

Just carry a yellow card with you to whip out!

I'm no grammar nazi but this happens so much now that it seems correct to some folks. You even see it in print this way...commercials, news stories

E.g. A friend says, "Would you stop at the LBS and buy me a spare inner tube?"
I'm not buying my friend, so leave that out. "Would you buy a spare inner tube for me please?"

^ I don't get it. What's wrong with specifying where the item is that needs to be purchased?

I think he's referring to "buy me an [item]" vs "buy an [item] for me."
