    Fantasy Football Help

Alright, so I'm not sure what to do with my squad this year.

I'm currently 1-1 this year, but haven't had a great week either week.

QB - Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger
WR - Brandon Marshal, Dwayne Bowe, Justin Gage, Bernard Berrian, Micheal Jenkins, Derrius Heyward-Bey, ........Antonio Bryant
RB - Matt Forte, Julius Jones, Knowshon Moreno, Tim Hightower
TE - Visanthe Shiancoe, Heath Miller
    K - Stephen Gostkowski
    Def - Titans

I feel like I could be doing much better. I've got two pretty darn good QBs, and on paper should be pretty solid at RB. I'm having a lot of trouble at WR and RB production. I have good players, they just aren't producing.

Should I try to trade Brees plus someone and get a couple solid WR?

There's money riding on this year, so any help you can give is appreciated. I'm not really sure what to do, my team just isn't producing like it should be on paper. Hell, Titans had -1.00 point this week.

    Thanks.

Do not trade Brees. Pick up Manningham if he's still out there.

Trade Ben for a decent RB if you can.

He was a free agent. I've got him on waivers now. Thanks. Not sure if I'll get him, my waiver priority is 8 right now.

My thinking was that having Brees put up 40 pts a week doesn't do me any good if I still lose. But I guess I'd like to keep him if at all possible.

Look at people in your league who may be kind of shaky at QB, and see how they're set for RB's. Offer a straight trade of Ben for their #2 back, or Ben and one of your WRs for a #1.

Won't you need a Kicker and Defense for your bye weeks?

I just pick someone up from free agency and drop a crappy WR or someone. Our rosters are so big that it doesn't really matter, there are gonna be some junky players on your roster.

Do you think I'm weaker at WR or RB?

You're weakness is at WR. Your running backs are fine. Forte is off to a slow start but he and Hightower should be starters for you. Julius Jones is a solid #3 back. You're TE are mediocre as is your Defense. Your WRs have the potential to be great but most of them are hit or miss right know (I have marshall and berrian as well) but they should pick up. I'd trade Rothelisberger. Heyward-Bey isn't going to do much this year and neither is Knowshon....

Is it a keeper league by chance?

Nah. Not a keeper league. Just standard live draft.

Personally, I think your WR's have a bit more potential than your RBs. I concur with the selections for dropping.

But potential doesn't win games. right now his RBs are solid and will contribute double digits scores per game. Brandon Marshall and Berrian have been essentially non-factors to this point. But yes he has atleast 3 number 1 wide receivers (Marshall, Berrian, Bowe) if they all are playing up to their potential...sadly only Bowe is producing somewhat.

I'd try to trade Big Ben and maybe throw in a Gage or a Bryant and try to get some good WRs or RBs.

Give Marshal, Jones, and Ben for Roddy White and Greg Jennings?

Like I said, I'm terrible at knowing what people are worth in trades.

I wouldn't ditch Marshall so fast. Maybe Bryant or Gage.

Marshall has been averaging 3.5 catches per game so far....Problem is Kyle Orton can't throw the long pass with enough accuracy for Marshall to do anything. Marshall has all the potential in the world at WR but isn't even being targeted enough....7 targets last week and 6 this week....That's less than he had in catches his first game back last year!

Your RB's are fine. And JJ's production will likely be up as long as Hasselbeck is out.

Bowe is your only decent WR. I also have Berrian in a money league and will be patient for at least another week with him. Definitely trade Ben for a decent WR. Is Steve Smith (NY) still available?
And pay attention to those bye's!

Alright, here's an update. Looks like I'm gonna go to 1-3, but I'm doing a lot better.

I'm gonna lose this week mostly because the guy had SF defense and they put up 39 fantasy points. I mean, wtf can I do against that? If they score a reasonable amount (like 10), I win. And that's with Ten defense scoring 0 points, and Drew Brees having an off day.

I traded Julius Jones and Big Ben for Marques Colston. He didn't have a great week this week, but I'm thinking he'll break out soon. I still have Hightower, Moreno, and Forte. I'm feeling fine about RB. I'm feeling much better about WR. My kicker is sick. My TE is weak, and Tennesee has been ****ty at defense.

It's early in the season still, so I think I can recover and make the playoffs. I think I have a strong team finally.
