Rescued Kitten Stays With Me

About a week and a half ago, I rescued a kitten about 4-5 weeks old. He (I think it is a he) is now going to stay with me as the shelters-both public and private-are already overflowing with dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and other animals and I believe his chances are slim for adoption. I decided to neuter or spay him when the time comes and save up the money for this as money is tight here. I know how to feed animals optimal natural diets so food costs are kept to a minimum as with the other dogs and cats I have previously. Here are some photos-yes, he is really brown! (more to come later):

I feel much better when I hear these rescue stories, thank the gods for people like you. Heres the one I found a little while ago, she was covered in flies, urine, and feces due to being in shock and standing in the same spot for two days! she also had ulcers on her feet! I took her in, bathed her, treated her, and love her. shes much better now and just now venturing upstairs. In the one pic I caught her mid lick! (these are the first real pics I got of her.)

What a sweet little kitty - he's so tiny! Check with your local animal shelter, they can probably refer you to a vet who will do the neutering at a discount.

Awwwwwww... Thanks to all of you who save precious little lives.

Every day I look at my Sakima and think how he was on his last day at the shelter before he was going to be euthanized. I can't believe that nobody would take him because he looked sick. He had an upper respiratory infection that is now gone. He is my friend and I shudder to think him put to sleep.

Hey FF! Nice to see you in foo.

He looks so curious, and that's an odd color for a cat, but hurrah for rescues!

My recent rescue and now family member.

She even likes bikes.

Annie (the cat), seems to be hypoallergenic. She's not triggering the allergy at all. We tested it out by stopping by the no kill shelter, and yes, other cats still trigger her allergies, but Annie doesn't. I'm not sure of her breed, ion any way, but isn't there a breed of cat that's supposed to not trigger allergies? I'll need to hunt some, because I'd bet that bredd is in Annie's ancestry.

I have to respond again, what a great thing you're doing, I've rescued a few now - one little guy who used to cry from the other end of a porch where he "lived" and his cry would just trail off and his little body was ... ugh - he has a good home now ---- your little guy is a little munchkin who looks needs some good foods, plump him up a bit and I do have to say - he looks like he has some of the SPAWN (perhaps the eyes, hehe) that I haz in my 6 month old kitten (from a mother cat I rescued and placed her and the other siblings out) ... good one dude - that kitty will luv you forever. Do keep us up on new kitty pics.

Ha. It was meant to be, Tom!

Thank you. I am saving money to take him to a nice holistic vet that might help out in some way.

He changed a bit as you might see in the more recent photos in the other post, but he is sure a little devil!

He is really blooming as you can see in the new post that I have uploaded. My hands and arms are scratched up, but at least he is healthy and hope to become more socialized and well adjusted soon. I am so glad that there are others who rescue these throwaways too.
