how to make bread crumbs without food processor?

So I was gonna make some breaded pork chops...but just realized that our "food processor" i.e. Magic Bullet is broken

Is there another way to get my bread to the nice crumby consistency without a food processor? Halp!

Also, if there is NO way to get bread crumbs without the food processor, what can I do with my brined pork chops instead of breading?

Toast the bread, put it in a zip lock bag and beat the heck out of it with a meat tenderizer, rolling pin, mortar and pestle, hammer, couch's head, or whatever you have handy.

Also, brined pork chops are amazing off the grill. No breading necessary.

Alas, we are out of charcoal for the grill and I'm too lazy to bike the one block to the nearest grocery to get more. I wanted to grill eggplants too...

Lemme borrow Couch's head...

For toasting the bread slices, do not use the toaster, use the oven instead. You need dry and toasted all the way through which a toaster won't do without burning. And, if it's too late to toast the bread, use crackers instead. You can use either the salted or unsalted.

Either way, put the breading into baggie, beat the hell out of it, sift it, and beat the hell out of any crumbs to big to go through the sifter until they do (that'll teach them nonconforming crumbs).

See, I usually go all fancy-schmancy and toast the bread in the oven with spices and garlic after they have been processed into crumbs...but maybe if I put the spices on before toasting it will work. Maybe.

Oven for the bread/toast and whack on them, crackers toss in a sealed bag (large) and use a rolling pin. I've had my share of - Oh noes when it came time to use something and it isn't there ...

Go to store and buy unseasoned bread crumbs. Perhaps not as good, but I'd take consistency over an unpredictable product. Any other method will product dust and chunks.

Nyaaa, I was waaaaaay too lazy to go to the store. But I did the breadcrumbs in a ziplock bag and although the sizes of the crumbs were unpredictable, it turned out ok. The kids ate the bigger chunks (a.k.a. croutons), the small ones got sifted away, and there were still enough perfectly sized crumbs.

Breaded pork chops...nom.

Beat an egg in a bowl with two tablespoons of cold water. Mix 1/4 cup of cornmeal in a bowl with 3/4 cup of flour. Dredge the pork chops through the egg mixture then coat with the flour/cornmeal mixture and fry.

forget bread crumbs, use crushed corn flakes. any store brand is ok. put them in a bowl and crush them with your fist. They stay crunchy during frying.

Or, crushed saltine crackers. Just smash em with your hands in a zip lock bag.
