F your Sunny Worldview.

Please tell me Doomstock will include a ride and Mt Doom climb challenge. Or else why bother? Your grilled sausage is not enough.

I've been reading more about "sausage" in this forum than others, hehe

But I like sausage, you know um, <exits stage left>

The retaining wall is finished, drainage in, almost back filled. Concrete tiebacks to foundation next.
Then the deck carpentry. Should be completed within a week or so.

Next: the complete re-ducting of our attic and the installation of the 16 SEER heat pump to replace our old central a/c. F me.

I'm of Greek heritage, and wonder what you imply with the use of the term 'innuendo'?

By the way, when this project is completed, I'll have a slightly smaller deck. But it will be more solid.

Does that excite the ladies here at all?

You're going to have to auction off bike schwag to pay for all this.

I am told it is not so much the size or solidity as it is the girth. What is the girth of the deck?

Bottom line concern is whether or not it will support 50 drunken BFers* while pogo dancing. And if that doesn't excite the ladies, nothing will.

*Of course, we're talking very skinny people.

Your presumption that most BFers are skinny is...

incorrect.

Unless there is more interest in this project, I will have to suspend the construction updates. And just as it was about to get interesting. More photos tomorrow. If anyone cares.

I have been waiting for photos. Preferably of the massive concrete infrastructure. Who doesn't like massive concrete infrastructure?

You can coat your deck in epoxy....that'll keep the wood hard.

There is most certainly interest in the deck saga. Not saying there's huge amounts of interest, but there is interest.

At least it's about something.

Doomstock sounds intriguing. The deck would be a necessary part of it.
