Any Motorcyclists Here?

After 20 years off the bike - the kind with a motor - I dove back in recently. I'm loving it.

It's a battle to decide whether to pedal or twist the wrist, but some days, I can do both.

It's an '07 Suzuki Boulevard S83 - formerly the Intruder 1400. A cruiser.

Already upgraded the saddle to a Corbin gunfighter and am set to lower the suspension 2" in the rear and 1" in the front.

What you got?

Lots of motorcycle threads here. I am riding a 2004 Aprilia Scarabeo 500 maxi-scooter and a 2008 Suzuki DR650.

In the house, boyeeeee.

Gumby, my '06 EX500, wearing '02 bodywork. My 50+mpg workhorse/dog-limo.

Same bike as above, wearing OEM colors. (I can swap back and forth in about an hour, which should come in handy after I do my first bank job this Spring.)

Zed, my '02 ZX9R, (my Goldwing). I've ridden it from San Diego to Philadelphia & back. Despite doing an honest 100-mph in first gear, he still gets better than 40mpg, and has two catalytic converters.

Chitty is my '00 W650, which I love almost as much as I love my Masi (which is deep enough to be called "dysfunctional" by the uninitiated.)

It's fun to be on two wheels. Occasionally I'll wish I were pedaling when I'm motoring, and vice-versa; but I never, ever wish I were in a car instead.

Yup, but it's been a little while, we're due a new one anyway.

I am fortunate enough to live in the midst of some of the best twisty roads around, so I get my motorcycling fix while commuting and my "fun rides" are on the bicycle.

Here's my daily commuter (2007 Ducati Monster 695):

Project bike (1979 Kawasaki KZ400, project was on hold for a while with buying a house and moving but hopefully we can continue on soon):

And the dirt bike (2006 Honda CRF 150F) which sadly doesn't get enough use as the nearest place to go is about 2 hours away and I don't have a good way to transport it.

Oh, got to try out a friend's MV Augusta Brutale 910 last night. An appropriately named bike.

By the way, here are my commutes.

I don't own any motorcycles but I sell them.

I ride about 2500 miles a month just commuting.

I just sold mine off this summer.

I had a 2003 Yamaha Venture touring bike and a 1981 Yamaha Seca 550.

They are missed, but I am now focused on self powered two wheeling.

Been riding since '97 and have always loved it. The last few yrs. it's mainly been track riding. I really need to go ahead and start club racing... $$ and my schedule makes it so difficult though. Current stable is a full on track/race SV650, a pretty much stock SV650 for the street, and a Triumph 675 that sees both street and track.

Way back in '85. Father and daughter. Shortly after this pic we sold the bike.

Fast foward to earlier this spring. Father and Daughter in the same spot. Dad's "new" ride: 81 Kawasaki GS850.

He got back into riding in '08. Not to be left out, I took my BRT class, learned to ride my own for the first time, and here's my baby: Suzi C50.

Dh sat on a S83 and really liked it. Nice bike!

Is that a Kawasaki 500 Triple Mach 1? I had one in the olden days and it was some bike. Fast beyond belief.

My last bike was a '82 Suzuki GS550es. 3 of us decided right after college to buy bikes - one got the Seca 550, another got the Kawi GPZ 550 and I got the Suzuki. All 3 were so similar, yet unique in their own right. We had a blast riding together a couple of years before we moved on with other things...

Great to see some other Boulevards here. I'm afraid the upgrade bug has bitten me and I have some expensive desires....but the good news is I'm in absolutely no hurry.

Have had the S83 2 months and have been riding sparingly...only have 600 miles on it. Got it registered and insured but I haven't got my endorsement yet. And of course, idiot me got caught doing 48 in a 35 and got a ticket for no license to boot. Now I'm signed up for the Rider Safety course, which leads to getting the license. I'm hoping to have the license in hand by my court date so the judge may reduce the fine...we'll see.

Some people never grow up....
