My cat has nerve!

This is funny. I was eating lunch this afternoon, and Annie the cat just hops up in my lap and took a bite out of my dang hot dog. She definitely likes Dijon mustard, it turns out.

What's funny also is she responds to French more than English. (Not kidding!)

We had a cat that loved corn husks. The small tender ones. He would about attack you if you were husking sweet corn.

The audacity! My dog would be in deep **** if he pulled a stunt like that with me, I don't allow him to beg, either...I hate when dogs beg. It's interesting to me the things we allow our pet cats to get away with, that we wouldn't allow our pet dogs to get away with.

Actually, Luddite, it surprised me.....a lot! I didn't expect it at all.

It was a test. Next time, it'll be a bite out of your hand (literally, out of your hand).

Oh yeah - I haz a counter kitty - my big boy is actually very good, Ming however is a bad kitten. And I'm not going to chase her or whatever - just deal with it and make sure I clean before I cook, etc - actually it makes me a cleaner person as I do not have dirty dishes laying around (if I do, I put it in the microwave to eliminate her discovering a whole new diet) and when I wash dishes, they are dried and put away.

So bad kitty has her uses.

However she does like interesting things.

She's had a piece of hot dog (from me) that may have had some mustard on it - hehe - she hit that and one eye closed - not sure if it was from love or downright horrible taste. But she wanted the plate ... and she was heading in toward mustard area not where hot dogs were. So ... Ming likes Couchy's mustard.

Bread, what is it with cats and bread. Mom gave me a loaf of some fruity kinda bread - I unpacked it and put it on the counter, turned around and there's Ming trying to chew into bread.

Broccoli. I mean without even butter on it. She wants it when I'm actually sitting down to eat (by myself). Bad kitty. She gets a pinky sized fingernail portion. Or better yet - give her an uncooked noodle and then she's gone for a long time --- tile floored kitchen and an uncooked noodle = priceless.

Pasta - yup, Ming loves that smell of pasta on the stove. To keep her busy, I toss a piece of noodle for her. Big Boy turns up his nose - she's right on it.

I also cook fish for myself - and them. They haz a piece that they snack on a couple times a week - size portion - probably less than a quarter.

If I do give them any people food it's a very tiny portion and very once in a while - hell I buy at least three types of higher end cat food (hmmm this weeks diet is Science Diet Oral Care - changed up to this as I noticed they were more or less swallowing food - not chewing - and a friend of mine just got back from the vets having paid for her 6 yr old cat's tooth extractions - who was also told to get the cat on an oral care plan otherwise - more extractions), California Natural Chicken & Brown Rice formula - good for skin & coat, and Purina One for Hairballs) - I like to mix them up and they like it. They really like "GoodLife Recipe", I'll change that out to next week. Really try to stick with their foods being more "natural" and with less preservatives. They're my kids so they get treated well

But I've spent enough time here. Need to go bring bike into house and then once again repair the kitten's favorite toy - mouse that hangs from elastic cord to contraption that I ended up duct taping to doorway. Her favorite toy - she grabs it and stretches it out - so much so that she ends up in my computer room where I'm sitting - and then she lets it go and whip around the corner.

Evil kitty.

They're good at that. She probably got tired of waiting for you to offer her some and figured she'd have to take it on her own.

The question is of course, did you finish it? If not, did you give it to her? You may have the beginning of a Frankencat.

It was just a little bite. I cut off the end she bit.
