Feel Good Thread

So, what do you guys do when you're feeling down? I've had a rough week (for me) and I wanna know what you do when you've had a bad day. Bonus points for unconventional answers!

Yoga with meditation. I give myself time to reflect on the situation and permission to let it go.

I either skate or ride my bike. Working out seems to help me.

Run, and listen to uplifting music like Godsmack's "I ******* Hate You."

Cycling is good too, but its a lot easier for me to blow off steam running.

I store angriness and bitterness in a battery-like fashion. Then I kill them with booze.

A handfull(headfull) of shrooms, an mp3 player full of hard psytrance, and a nice long
offroad bikeride with my pockets full of leftover halloween candy usually has
quite the uplifting effect on my psyche.
If that fails, the booze-killing of a hate-battery comes next.
There you go: booze-kill a hate battery while shrooming to psytrance on your mountainbike! With candy!
(note:alcohol may reduce effectiveness of mushrooms and bike)

Usually when I'm down I don't feel like doing too much of anything. I usually stay inside and practice on a musical instrument. I have different kinds of stringed instruments but since I'm a master of none, I have plenty of reasons to practice. I try to practice regularly but do so more when I'm down. After an hour or so I'll feel like going out and getting into stuff again.

Tear down an old bike and clean it up. That's god therapy right there.

Riding always feels good too.

I write 20-page, rambling emails to my friend, and as I am writing them I realize how silly my attitude is and I get over it and feel better.

Making a really nice dinner puts me in a better mood, with some wine and some good tunes playing. Preferably with sexy company

cake - while i'm eating it. but then i'm filled with resentment (and cake) afterward.

oh. and a couple of shots of whiskey helps me deal with things better when i'm with friends. i can loosen up and enjoy my time instead of worrying about this and that.

My knee-jerk reaction is to mention a "hummer"....they always make me feel better.

But if I think about it a bit, the real answer is my poochies. I'll sit with them and cuddle and hold them. It always makes me feel better knowing I at least have them.
