It's my bag, baby

Need a new bag for the gig to tote books, server back up tapes, lunch, etc to and from the car, and might commute occasionally. Ideas for a leather bag for a manly man's man like jsharr.

What is your budget?

Levenger makes some very nice leather bags. Or you could try Saddleback Leather Co. I have one of theirs (but I don't take it on the bike).

Hey, better to use the leather than let it rot.

Jeff, I have a black leather laptop bag that has seen a lot of use over about 7 years now and is still in great shape. It holds a 15" laptop with room to spare, has zippered and otherwise organized inside pockets, and best of all a rigid dowel spine that helps the handle support a heavy load. I use it as my "geek bag" for mobile PC repair gear, but it's nice for travel gear too. No exterior logos so it isn't pretentious, brand name is Canetti. I can't find one online though.

Lots of good choices and some pretty funny stuff. Thanks guys. I would totally go for the T Rex, Volcano, Skeleton three way bag if it only had a WWI bi plane and either a my pretty pony or a hello kitty mixed in.

Budget is under $100, and although I do not currently carry a laptop, that would be a cool option, as one may be added to the mix soon.

does it have to be leather?
I've seen some pretty nice looking canvas ones.

hehee....yep. I finally tried using it (in Vegas) for the first time and it just wasn't my cup of tea. It felt uncomfortable to me....I guess messenger bags aren't for me.
