If you're saying my youthful pot smoking led to my current cycling addiction, I think you're reaching. I haven't had a toke in about 15 years now. And I don't miss it.

Of course I don't ride my MTB much.

HEY! Just because we like drugs, encourage losers to have self esteem, encourage sexual deviancy, worship the sickest of society, think that common sense and good taste is punishable by law, doesn't mean we're bad people......hmmm.......never mind!

They may as well legalize it.

There's no worry about shiftless stoners not having jobs when there's no jobs to be had.

I heard Wanda Sykes on Leno last night opine on it, she said something along the lines of "Legalize it, are you crazy? Have you ever heard of a pot head with a 'To Do' list? Now, *******, that's what we have to legalize. Increase productivity, people working 48 hour shifts, running to work." I found it amusing.

California is undergoing a change of direction. For decades now the liberal/peace & love hippies have been in charge. As a result of their policies California has fallen into disrepair, become one of the most reviled states in the union, is currently insolvent, and has a non-functioning judicial system (no judges).

This is the last gasp of the old guard being made in an attempt to keep their addictions supplied.

California isn't very far from one of the largest pot producers on this here continent... B.C.
Food for thought: if you aren't dead by 2050, you and your entire family will be within a few years from starvation. Now that is a cruel gift to leave for your offspring. ;)

Wait. Let's keep marijuana illegal. After all, it's not harmless like alcohol.

Hmm, legalizing pot could increase sales tax revenue (assuming said state has sales tax), reduce the case load in the courts (pot related cases are like what? a 1/3 of all drug cases?) OR it might increase the case load (petty theft/robbery) from those that do not wish to purchase it legally.

But if they do legalize it, I'm buying stock in every damn fast food chain, Frito-Lay, and snack cake maker/vendor that does business in that state.
