    duct tape!

On Mythbusters last night, they actually made a sail boat out of duct tape (ok, it had a metal frame with the tape stretched over it for a skin) with a sail made of duct tape. The thing worked. It was awesome...I may have to try that route out for a small fishing boat I've been thinking about making.

What else can this stuff do?

Ironically, it isn't really good for fixing or sealing ductwork.

We used to use tons of duct tape on the regatta circuit. When taking the mast down to trailer the boat, we would secure the stays and halyards to the mast with duct tape. First wrap, sticky side out, then second wrap sticky side in, so that the tape only stuck to itself. Get to the next regatta, cut off the tape wraps and you had a mast, ready to hoist.

Is that a challenge? I accept. I'll do it this weekend. I need to get some duct tape. What color do you like? Pink? Purple? Camo?

Anything other than silver/gray is not duct tape.

Now did you mean "hawt" as in "really, extremely cheap" or maybe "unbearably frugal"? Because that's why I did it.

    Truth.

Especially if its duct that has heat.

I've used way more of it than I care to think about while doing abatement work.

The stuff definitely has its limitations, and I'd feel really unsafe in a boat constructed with it.

He is a teen ager, or still so damn close to his teens that it does not matter, hence any word that vaguely resembles the word panty is hawt.
