    It's stupidly addictive.

I did it for a couple of weeks. Too time consuming to plow/clear/plant fields. One at a time was ridiculous. I know play Mafia Wars for about ten minutes a day. More to my liking.

My wife plays both. She's level 100 in mafia wars now. Keeps complaining that she can't expand her farm in farmville.

I played Evony for a few months, but it got ridiculous and ended up being a full time job. Farmville is good because I only log in for 10-15 min per day. I plant crops that take at least one day to grow for minimal responsibility

Any of you folks that play Farmville and are on my friends list...stop it!

All the stupid games and requests and "gifts" on Facebook make it annoying as hell.

Word. Those games are so lame, it is just some pictures with a button. Waste of time. It is all about virtual 3-d stuff.

Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

I just saw a story on the news about folks spending serious money on houses, etc for Farmville virtual "properties".

It sounds like WoW folks. Walk away...just walk away.

I don't like Facebook's security model in general because it is all or nothing. Give the app all your details and all your friends' details, or don't run it.

I've seen some friends play FarmVille, and status updates gets plastered with random stuff like "blahblah has managed to get a bronze star in Mr. Anderson's toolshed on FarmVille". Gets old after a bit.

So, I don't bother with the apps.

I love Farmville. Hated it at first, but now I enjoy the few moments each morning that I play. I can sure think of plenty of worse things to do with my 15 minutes.

My aunt spends serious real money on Farmville, but she also spends serious real money at the casino each week, so pick your evils.

To those who don't like their Facebook feeds plastered with stuff, you can hide posts from specific apps, ya know.

I hide all the posts from all the apps. Am worried about trying farmville because I might find it addictive.

I was addicted to lexulous for the longest time, but am starting to get fed up with that one.

Me too. I have to wonder about one of my old H.S. friends. Given the number of stupid FB games she plays, I think she may be on the computer 23 hours a day.

You can modify your news feed at the left. I quit all the applications after I found out about the privacy or lack thereof. Not that I have incriminating stuff about me on FB, but they don't need to know that stuff. I play Age of Empires...who needs farms when you can RULE THE WORLD!!(and build it from scratch)

Ditto. PM me your name so we can join mafias and kick Unsafe Alpine's butt in another war.

I'm up to level 269 or something like that. It's mildly fun, but I'm starting to get bored with it and don't always hit it every day.

For those playing...when you send game requests, hit the tab/button that says <game name> only so you only select people who are playing the game.

    Farmville Bicycle Park........

My wife got me going with the idea of building a "Bicycle Park." It took a while to make some money and neighbors, etc. But, the park is underway. I want it to be a single-track MTB course, but it's beginning to look more like a BMX track. Who knew?

Quit being so pathetic and learn how to use Facebook. It takes less than 5 seconds to block all traffic from a game that's annoying you and you'll never see any of it again.
