Has opinion, will express
I don't use youtube, so I am only presuming the thread is about the Great Lakes ship.
Since Gordon Lightfoot's ballad, The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, I have been fascinated. And on a trip across the continent in 2006 with Machka I got close to the wreck site (from the shore, of course) and read up a fair bit on the subject.
I was intrigued by the underwater pictures taken when the wreck was finally discovered, a remarkable feat in itself.
No-one knows what caused the pride of the fleet to sink -- and if you listen to Lightfoot's ballad, that becomes clear. But the storms that whip through that part of the Great Lakes system must be really scary!
Great to watch the video put to Gordon's music. Really humanizes the event. Thanks for posting.
