Discontinued products you love :(

Don't you hate it when you find a product you love....something happens to it. So you go to get a replacement and decide you want the exact same one because you love it so much.

But its no longer made.

Yesterday my wife was vacuuming and ran over the cord to my headphones. I have two high-end headphones, that pair and another here at work. The ones at work cost more, but I like less. That pair was perfect for me....fit like a dream, sound quality was amazing, cord was perfect, etc.....

The cord ripped right out of them, so were trash. I went online and looked up the model.....shows up many places, but nearly all show it to be out of stock. I check on Sony website, and it seems they don't make them any more.

I did get lucky, hopefully, and find one place that does still have some in stock. It did, however, get me to thinking because this sort of thing happens every now and then.

Isn't it aggravating?

There used to be a non-carbonated soft drink I loved - Delaware Punch. Came in a purple and pink can. I miss it. If anyone ever sees it somewhere, please let me know!

Crank Brother's Quattro cleats. (I use egg beater pedals, so I don't care about the quattro pedals themselves)

I found one place that still had some of those headphones and ordered last night, ASAP. Just found somebody on ebay who has them much cheaper, new in packaging. For $34.95 + $4.95 s/h. I'm thinking about ordering this one as well to have a backup. By next time they die, they'll surely be impossible to find.

Ugh, don't remind me of those. My mother thought if one could substitute for breakfast two could substitute for dinner.

The electric scented oil warmer at the Body Shop. I keep going back there looking for one (mine got smashed when I moved.) Can't find one anywhere else. Using candle heated ones are messy and dangerous. The electric one was awesome DAMMIT. I've searched high and low for months. FFFFFFF---

My Diadora commuting shoes - when they finally croak I'm afraid I'll never find anything that has as wide of a toe box, high-tops, looks like regular hiking shoes and easy to wear and walk in all day.

I'm rather nervous that Brooks will stop making their saddles as demand decreases.

On a related note, I think there is a rule in Wal*Mart corporate policy that states that if a product is popular, it should be discontinued within a couple of months.
