    Ready for Thanksgiving

The house is clean, the china and silver are washed, the turkey is brining and the pies are in the oven. We are making excellent progress.

Got room for one more? Can I shower after the ride but before dinner? I'm not use to mac 'n cheese for Thanksgiving so I won't eat that but the cornbread dressing sound so good.
You're just trying to start an argument to show how smart you are.

I've done the grocery shopping. Lots of cooking tomorrow while the wife is out on a ride. No extra cleaning, it's just the 4 of us, with enough food for 10.

most definitely, come on over, you can shower after the ride or whatever - i don't really care - just like to see people enjoy my cooking. and, i'm a darn good southern cook. i'm gonna be eating leftovers all week most likely. the mac 'n cheese is special request from son.

and, the bird's breast will be reheated & browned tomorrow. all that's left is fixin the deviled eggs & mac ' cheese....

Nope I'm not ready. In fact I'm not celebrating Thanksgiving. Although Wolfie's meal sounds very nice.

I've got a pumpkin rendered and it is simmering down into a thick, delicious pumpkin soup... should cover me pretty well tomorrow.
ad now I've got time to read and relax for an hour or two.

I baked cookies. They all collapsed in the oven for some reason. They taste fine, but boy are they ugly. Like chocolate chip crepes.

    I'm bringing nothing to dinner.
