I just had a cream soup (mushroom) for lunch. When you are lactose intolerant, that's worse than chili!!!

This thread stinks. But I still prefer it to P&R territory...

AHAHAHAH - Several years ago - I found a dried bean mixture that was labeled "15 beans" ---- lovely package too. Sooooooo - I love bean soup and treasure all my bones ... so after Easter (Mom always does a ham with bone in - bone for me so I can cook something else for her) I made this darn lovely soup - smell superb .... and sat down with Mom - and now ex husband and myself and enjoyed the very tasty soup.

... AND then ... the next day. I get home from work and Mom is looking at me funny as she walked into the house (we owned a double together) and she asks ... "you feel anything funny today"? And I answer back well ... ummmmmm - and she bursts in that she had the WORST GAS EVER. She was so embarrassed!!! But she also stated how awesome the soup was, but that she needed to go upstairs (to her apartment) so she can be alone. AHAHAHHA

Ex-husband came home. He walks in - he used to have his own company, but at that time he was grunt for a new plumbing company.

He walks in door and looks at me and says something about the fact that his co-workers who had to work with him in an enclosed and very small room all day HATE him - and asked him wtf did he eat. BWAHAHAHA

k, it killed me too, BUT I had more left! And I hate wasting food - so I asked Mom - she basically gave me the cootie sign and turned gray and closed the door on me.

Ex - said he'd probably be fired - but that to hold some for when he worked with XXX (he didn't like the guy).

So I was stuck - froze it and looked at it a while later and trashed it.

We termed that soup the 21 Gun Salute, and Mom and I still laugh about it today.
