I am officially irked. I am sitting at my office, only one in, waiting for the IT guy who is coming in to upgrade all our machines to Windows 7 today. It is 9. They were supposed to be here by 8:30. Punctuality, or the lack thereof actually, irks me.

Turns out, being car free isn't all it's cracked up to be. In Michigan, since I've had a lapse in car insurance (duh, no car = no car insurance), the insurance companies are allowed to jack up the rates of what they would normally charge me. I'm thinking of trying to get around this by buying a small motorcycle and using it as an "if needed" commuter. Everyone seems to want top dollar for their junk bikes around here, though.

In CO. I'm not sure how to get it here. It would cost a little bit to ship it, plus it still needs a couple hundred in parts. Maybe the best thing to do is try and sell it out there.

yep....maybe get a used 500-600CC sportbike for a grand or so. That would make for a pretty inexpensive commuter.

I'm thinking even smaller. The smaller the cheaper and I'm not really going that far, or hitting the highway or anything...

A small enduro most likely, either older or something relatively new...

Quiet day so far... am just waiting to hear from my sister about our mom who was spending a few days in the ICU for observation as her ticker isn't keeping as good a time as it should.

She was complaining of being tired and having to take naps... this comes from a woman who usually wears out her kids and has less aches and pains than any of us... although we do need to keep an eye on her when we go out as she sometimes wanders off. Not because she suffers from any kind of dementia but because she has always done this.

Could be the fact she's 81, some weird medication thing going on, stress, or she may need a pacemaker.

Will be going down to see her tomorrow... the weather is good and it will be the first decent shakedown ride for the new touring bike.

Will also be nice to see the family, play with the great nephews and nieces (4 of them), and there may even be fire and Drambuie.

I'm trying to find a local store that actually has Rx oakleys on display.

first 2 stores that sold oakleys didn't have anything. not even the Oakley store, which is surprising.
