wallet

I think it was Saturday I noticed my wallet was missing. I have these new panniers w/ a foldover pocket (no snapping or velcroing) on the outside, I wondered if I left it on my commute from there. Anyway, no credit/debit cards, no license, no cash. Check the bank online, no fake transactions at least. Back to the office, no, I didn't leave it there. Wait, wait, wait. Still no bad transactions. My wife thought I should clean up some spaces I mess up and otherwise return to normal life (as long as fake transactions continue to not appear), and it should turn up. Anyway, it didn't. I would have gone yesterday to get a new license but they are closed on Mondays. FF to last night, doing the laundry. Open the dryer, wallet stuff explodes out. It was in the hamper in a pants pocket, stayed put until the dryer shook it loose (and emptied it out). xmas shopping can resume, I guess.

Thanks.

Every once in a while I need to be reminded of how much of a redneck you are. Appreciate the help....I'd never remember to remind myself

Everything survived but a wad of business cards (was not a wad at the beginning of the process)

Duct tape wouldn't have helped this wallet unless it sealed the contents in away from the water... the wallet is fine as ever (it's been through the wash once before, proof that cows really are waterproof)

My wallet has been through the washer a few times. It's also been drenched on bike rides, backpacking trips and spur of the moment decisions to jump in a river or lake.

It might be time that I consider replacing it, because the velcro is starting to get weak. I never graduated to the ranks of owning a big-boy wallet made of gen-you-wine leather. I carry the same cordura wallet with a velcro closure which I've had since high school. If my wallet were a person, it would be old enough to buy me a beer. I got it for free with a subscription to Outside magazine, way back before it sucked (so much.)

Isn't money laundering a felony?

Glad it turned out well, not stolen.
