Number 1 because the color shows the mood and feel of the day. The second two make you look like you were a victim of some really back shotgun accident because half of your face is missing. The last two look "cold" in an almost eerie sort of way. I feel like I am intruding on your porch. And what's that red thing coming out of your back uh.......pocket?

That's a red work glove. I was just finished stacking firewood and enjoying a pipe. I don't smoke a lot, but do enjoy the occasional pipe or cigar.

You know Tom, with that outfit and that background, all you need is a well placed bottle of vodka and a dancing bear, and I'd think that you were in Mother Russia.

Number 4 if it had more of a consistent worn edge. You could also try putting in a crease line.

The first one. Make you look vibrant. Like you may relax with a pipe one moment and do something exciting the next, like dye your beard white, be Santa Claus and deliver the nice hat I ordered to me already!

#1, distantly followed by #4, in turn closely followed by #5. #2 and #3 seem like failed attempts at photo-impressionism.
